Why Write a Blog#

This question has been answered by many people. But I still want to give my own answer (or agree with the answer).

  • The answer in About This Blog is like this.
To solve the problems of being easily understood at first glance, being confused when asked, and being confused when used. Therefore, it is necessary to record, summarize, and then connect with examples. Record scattered knowledge (seen before), gradually accumulate more related knowledge, until encountering practical examples or having some insights and discovering that this knowledge can be organized into a more systematic article.

I enjoy browsing blogs. Whether it's the design of the blog's page or the content of the articles, they are basically the author's hard work. With a huge number of Internet users and decades of time, many interesting blogs have been created, which can be described as vast. And I want to have my own star in this vast sea.

Today is all about blogs.

During the day, I wrote several blog posts for my assignment.

In the evening, I watched My Zheng Laosan Died. I don't remember ever having a pet, but I recently experienced the sudden departure of a loved one, so this article made me think a lot.

Later in the evening, I read Luo Hao's Personal Blog, which belongs to a senior. It records from university to work. Looking at those familiar place names and events, I feel a connection.

Now a thought suddenly came up. The significance of a blog may lie in its existence. It doesn't need to immediately inspire someone. It just needs to exist, and it's good as long as it can be accessed.

During this period, I am migrating servers. At this time, my blog has played a big role. Some configuration details that I had forgotten before can be remembered by flipping through previous blog posts.

This feeling is great.

When browsing blogs, I came across Blog Short Domains printem.pw and prin.studio - PRIN BLOG, and I found that my thoughts are similar to the author's, but they wrote it better than me. Here is an excerpt:

I have mentioned it sporadically in previous blog posts. I have a special complex. I always hope that I can leave some traces on the vast Internet, proving that I have been here, enjoyed this cyberspace, and even made some small contributions to it.

Self-built servers and self-owned domains are actually quite fragile. If no one takes care of them, the server will be shut down if the fee is not paid, and the domain will be taken back if the fee is not renewed. If something unexpected happens, the things that have been painstakingly built may be gone, or only exist in Internet archives.

From my sentimental point of view, this is a sad thing, and I don't want it to happen.

Even wild geese leave their voices behind, how can life leave no trace?

Therefore, all the resources on this blog are hosted on reliable free services such as GitHub and CloudFlare. As long as these companies do not go bankrupt or stop providing free services, or humanity experiences a modern civilization apocalypse, my blog should be able to remain accessible for a long time without anyone's supervision.
